Structural Bodywork

This service takes deep-tissue massage therapy further by placing it into the context of your overall structure. A visual and palpation assessment is used to gain a picture of the relationships between different areas of the body. This understanding allows me to address issues not only directly, but in a broader and more interconnected way. Our bodies are living structures, not mechanical in the normal sense of that word, and addressing the dynamic relationships between parts of the body is an effective way to create improvement.

Medical Massage

This service hones in on a problematic condition or area. For example: scoliosis, frozen shoulder, sciatica, or other chronic pain. Other conditions might be recovery from an injury or post-surgery – to help restore complete range of motion, flexibility and strength, and to reduce pain. With this medical massage therapy service, the entire session may be spent in a localized area, working specifically with an issue and the various tissues affected by it.

Sports Massage

This is for the athlete wishing to take advantage of enhanced recovery and improved function provided by massage. If you see me at a local race you might see me offering pre-race massage to prep specific tissues for the event and to help reduce the impact and accumulation of stress. Also, massage after an event can speed recovery and initiate much needed relaxation.

Pregnancy Massage

Receiving massage during pregnancy can greatly ease the impact of the dramatic changes happening to a woman’s body. A session of pregnancy massage will focus on addressing tensions arising from the overall softening and expanding taking place as well as soothing and stretching tight and sore areas.

Workplace Massage

This service can range from a corporate wellness fair to an elementary school teacher appreciation day or anything in between.  I bring my supplies to your location and can provide shorter workplace appropriate sessions, while the recipients remain clothed.  To discuss rates and availability, please call, email, or use the contact form.

In-Home Massage

I also offer massage in the comfort of your own home, if needed or wanted due to a disability or just because you would rather stay home to get your massage.  Please contact me for scheduling either via email or phone as this option requires some additional time for me to travel.

What to Expect

What to Expect

The first session with a new massage therapist can present some uncertainties – how much of my clothing should I remove, do I lie face down, where should I put my arms? Hopefully this information will help you feel confident to know exactly what to expect on your first visit!

About Me

I am very passionate about massage therapy and bodywork. My initial training from East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, OR exceeds the minimum standards required for the state of NH. I have also pursued specialized continuing education in anatomy, kinesiology, palpation and assessment as well as best practice treatment.

Services

Each client comes in with a unique experience and I am committed to meeting that person where they are.  As well as technical ability I also use intuitive understanding to best address your needs. Whether we are working towards a specific goal or just providing relaxation and release, all of my services use current best practice to target chronic pain, release tension and increase range of motion and improve function.
